hey people, rate my moodle design.
http://dl.sedc.org.pk
If you like it, can you also rate it "cooler" in Moodle Sites of "Pakistan"
It is the one with the heading "Distance Learning Portal".
You can browse through the courses like which are in "Information Technology", for example of Google.
I would really appreciate your feedback.
Thanks.
Its beautiful. Will you submit it to Moodle Themes?

When I considered making this design, I just tried to make it simple.
I don't consider myself a good designer, but I can only say that just use two or three colors throughout your site and try to put clean pictures / Icons.
Pick any color but only shades of colors that are less illuminating, usually called web colors.
You can pick those shade from any good commercial site. Just go there and pick their shade as a starter. For example, hotmail, has blue shade of color.
Also use no more than two font types and best readable.
Select a best contrast for the color you use. It is weird how I select a contrast but I always write text in any color in MS word and then select it, the selection color gives me the best contrast. Weird , Eh !
For example, select a black color text and it will give you white color, which to me is a best shortcut for finding a contrast.
Anyhow, for me, these are some of the things, I do ... I hope they are helpful to you !
