Could not add a new instance of book

Could not add a new instance of book

I have installed the book, its visible in admin page but when I try do add a new activity and i select the book, fill the places of title ... and then when I click to create a book I receive this message:

Could not add a new instance of book.

Can anyone help me?

I have a similar problem: the admin page looks ok, but in the list of activities, the "Book" activity appears as modulename and the following message appears when I select it from the dropdown list: "This module type doesn't exist".

Can anyone help me, please?
