Congrats, it's a big step towards a stable 1.7!
I need to upgrade my 1.6.1 moodle production server (to fix the problems with import CSV files in DATABASE module). I can wait one week or two (not much more). Would be better to wait to the 1.7 stable or to update to 1.6.3 NOW? Updating is very time consuming to me (I need to customize several forms, and language files, to include new_Wiki, Quiz_report_response; moodle_Mysql_admin, etc.), therefore if I update to 1.6.3 I will use this version at least 6-8 months until the next time that I upgrade the server.
First: When trying to reply to your message, while not enrolled, I got the question wether I want to enroll or not, saying Yes to that I got "This is an unknown context", kicked me back to the start page of moodle.org. After that I was enrolled and could post this message.
Second: (why I wanted to reply
) The upgrade from 1.6.3 latest to 1.7 went very smooth (no errors at all), but when surfing it, I have to logon occacionally again (after accessing an activity or resource, or going back to the start page, ...I can't predict when it happens).
Second: (why I wanted to reply
I filed a bug MDLSITE-58 as I have the same as your first error.
Thanks for all the reports so far, keep em coming!
(Make sure to search first to avoid too many duplicates).
From the number of new problems making themselves apparent I hope you can start to see why I wish more people were helping with 1.7 right now...
Upgrading a core site like moodle.org to beta-quality code is not really usual good practice from an operation standpoint but I'm appreciating the effect on development.
Thanks, ants. Thants.
