Hi

Is there any news on this?  The main site is in Spanish and my Spanish isn't too good!

Hi James,
a few words about the future of internalmail.
Rigth now we are having our experiences testing IM under a moodle 1.5 and 34.000 users (in http://www.upc.edu - http://atenea.upc.edu)... and let's say that we nare realizing that a LOT of things can be improved in IM (It was our first moodle aproach ).

Well rigth now IM does not work even for 1.6 and what's our roadmap?
A new dfwikiteam member (Carles) is rigth now working to get IM working for 1.6. I hope to have it working in a few week ( to give him time), he si also transating user guides and instllation manuals to english. After that we will adapt IM to roles and XML database.

But David Castro and Ferran Recio ( the guys DF ) are decided to rewrite completelly IM, taking the best from what we learned and optimizing it for Laarge installations. This must be ready before july 2007.

Cheers
Ludo

Hello James,

Seen badly support which they give the boys of IM, I've been forced to do branch of it.
I hope that in a few weeks to have it ready. The module called email, and will take a method of migration of IM this same one.

Cheers,
Toni

Too hasty master Mas,

people has their priorities and rigthn now we consider wiki more important than IM. I'm sorry I couldnt get back to you sooner (btw the docuemntation you asked for is not up to date so is unusefull, we are rebuilding it). As you have readed I've assigned a new guy to IM and soon there will be movement on the module.

If you wish to build your new module or a IM branch, you're wellcome ( IM license ) inherited from moodle's allows you to do your branch.

Good luck.
Ludo
BTW. the IM upgrade that you provided and I placed in internalmail home does not install, only works mounted over a previuos IM installation. I think that this can be usefull.
