. On my production server the directories within the exercise folder have permissions rwxr-x---, that is no access to "other". Inside each of the numbered "submission" directories the file has rwxrwxrwx which is a little worrying but I suppose it's OK as the file is unreachable by "other" (because of the directory permissions). The exercise directory itself has permissions rwxr-x--- which seems about right. Hope this helps, Ray
