Let's assume that you created a course with group mode set and then in the course created groups and then populated the groups.
Then you created a wiki (erfurtwiki, dfwiki, nwiki?) and set the wiki type to groups (as opposed to student or teacher), and then set the Group mode appropriately (you indicate you set it to "Separate".)
At this point if one of the students in Group A logs in they should only have access to the Group A wiki..... if that is not the case, please double check your steps
