Databases: Moodle on a Linux live CD?

I need to showcase a course I have in Moodle at a presentation. Most probably I won't have Internet access, so I was thinking about using a Linux live CD distro (Knoppix, Kubuntu, name yours here...).
As Moodle depends on a SQL database (MySQL or PostgreSQL).
Would it work ok? Wouldn't I need an insane amount of RAM for the database manager to work off the lilve CD?
I'm no guru, jus' an annoying user... 8)

It should work on even a modest computer. 1Gb might be better than 512Mb, but even that should work. My laptop happily runs Postgres + Apache + PHP + Firefox + development tools all simultaneously with 1Gb ram.

Hi Pedro,

you can also use Moodle from USB memory stick. We test it couple of weeks ago and after couple of fixes it was OK. Please check this discussion as well.
