Learning Technology Newsletter invites short articles, case studies, and project reports for special issue on "Blogging as an Educational Technology". The special issue will be published in Volume 8, Issue 4 (October, 2006).
** The newsletter is of non-refereed nature though the articles will be selected and edited by the Editor. **

* Special Issue Theme:
"Blogging as an Educational Technology"
Blogging is being extensively used today as a collaborative tool. Collaboration plays an important role in the field of education. Constructive paradigm emphasises on the use of collaboration to gain knowledge and understanding. Hence, a tool like blogs can make a huge impact in the field of educational technology. This issue of the newsletter will look at the ways in which blogs can be used in education. These issues include both existing projects, planned innovations as well as opportunities that can be gained using blogs. The focus of your article should be on how blogs are used or can be used as a learning technology. Please feel free to bring forward your ideas and views.
* Submission procedure:
1. The articles in the newsletter are limited to 1000 words. Over-length articles will not be published. 2. The manuscripts should be either in Word or RTF format. Any figures used in the contributions would be required separately in a graphic format (gif or jpeg). The figures should also be embedded in the text at appropriate places. 3. Please send the manuscripts by email as attachment to a.f.shareef@gmail.com (Subject: Learning Technology October 2006 Submission). 4. In the email, please state clearly that the manuscript is original material that has not been published, and is not being considered for publication elsewhere.
