"Admin page cleanup" looking really good!

After a bit of kerfuffle I've just managed to get a recent Moodle HEAD up and running. The results of the admin page cleanup are in there - a new "Administration" block which provides shortcuts to the config options, broken down into subcategories. It's really nice, I like this approach a lot.

One point: There are two "Themes" options, one which lets me set all the config options regarding themes, and one which lets me choose from the themes. My suggestion is to get rid of the second one from the admin block, and have it as a link from the themes config page. (Failing that, at least rename them so they're not both called "Themes"! riseta)

Anyway, nice work. Looking forward to the other SoC projects coming to fruition too.

Yes, Vincenzo's been working hard!   Once the framework is all set up we'll be wanting to talk more about the structure of the menus, because they are all very easy to move around now.

Thanks for the compliment!

I'll rename the second themes option to "Theme Selector" for now to get rid of the confusion smile But I doubt that'll be in any way final.

If anyone has more comments on organization, I'd love to open up a discussion about it. (I spent most of my time programming, not organizing... the latter isn't my strong point tongueout) And besides, I've hardly used Moodle enough to know what the most frequently used settings are. As Martin said, changes to the menu can be made really easily (just take a look at an admin/settings/*.php file for an example). We can try out different ideas and I'll be happy to post them to CVS HEAD.

Thanks again,
Vince
