Ha--You are right Jan! Sorry for the confusion. It sounded to me like the text editor disappeared because of some hacking, but with a more careful read, I see that I was mistaken.

I agree that with more involved html code, you are better off without the htmlarea editor. In that case, I simply work with a local html editor and paste the code into the Moodle text field.

Probably should install a local install of Moodle. I just happened to have an extra install already done on a server when I was checking out a late beta of 1.6.
