[[varnames]]

Hi, I have installed the database module, but when I try to use it, I only see the variable names (as varname) surpriseinstead the content of the variables.

Somebody knows how can I fix this?

Thanks

Hi Daniel

When you see square brackets like that it means it's not picking up the language file.

Have a look in the database module folder, chances are you'll find a language file in there and possibly a read me file to help instalation, you may have to move it to your site language folder.

I have the same problem, and the suggestion is not workable as far as I can see since the data module anticipates v1.6. All lang files have been removed from CVS, presumably as per 1.6 organization, though I'm running 1.5.4+ and documentation claims it runs under 1.5.4. My snooping around reveals files under /lang/e.g. en_utf8, but that folder was not included in my CVS upgrade to 1.5.4+. Additionally, documentation on 1.6 suggests all lang files ultimately in /moodledata, not /moodle/lang. Help appreciated!

Hi Jim

To be honest, I can't remember what I did (e.g. the language file was there or I downloaded it from cvs or I just copied it from my 1.6 install) but it appears to be working in my 1.5.4 install.

Sure I saw instructions somewhere but haven't got time to figure out where at the moment so thought I'd just upload the language file for you.

Drop the attached into your language folder and it should be good to go.

Hope it helps.
