Australian based PHP / Moodle programmer needed

Due to the failure of a Moodle Partner to satisfactorily complete a small customisation project (two weeks programming), I am looking for a PHP programmer to assist in resolving some customisation issues.  The client is a key insurance loss adjuster operating in the world marketplace, with offices scattered throughout the globe.

There is a need to deliver ongoing organisational customisation of Moodle for the client. An experienced programmer who is keen and willing to develop sound working relationship could look forward to being involved in a number of projects over the next two years.  Remuneration is at a commercial rate, comparable to that paid to the Moodle Partner.   Drop me a line if you feel you have the skills, passion and capacity to deliver.

Hi Chris,

We are in India and have good Moodle and Dokeos experience, both in design and php/mysql dev. We do a lot of overseas work. http://ballisticlearning.com Recently, for nearly 6 months we did a lot of complex dev projects for the Dokeos company www.dokeos.com. We have done Moodle programming jobs for Austrailian and US clients.

Our MoodleThemes site is very popular with the global Moodle community http://ballisticlearning.biz/moodlethemes.

Chris,
The problem with your post is that you have now publicly denigrated all Moodle Partner reputations. The roughly 40 Moodle Partners worldwide work very hard and honestly to try and meet the increasing demands for commercial services placed on them (every day), due to the growing popularity of Moodle.  Moodle Partners are selected by Martin based on a set of criteria that include competentcy, business experience and a willingness to help and support everyone in the community to name a few things. As you may know the cut is steep, few that apply make it into the program. This tough standard means that those organizations wanting to pay for e-learning support are going to get quality services when they contract with a Moodle Partner, which are on par with commercial alternatives. These organizations get the assurance they will be treated fairly and responsively, and have a direct connection with the core Moodle development team as needed.

Partners have helped to build Moodle's reputation and standing among organizations throughout the world that were once wary of open source in general.  Rather than air your dirty laundry in public why not approach Martin privately; he keeps a tight rein on his Partners. wink  You may want to know that we routinely work together within the Moodle Partner's portal on issues that affect any one of us in our business practice.  Sometimes we make mistakes, but we always try to maintain the spirit that lives in the Moodle.org community in terms of offering creative solutions to problems our clients have. It is just plain unfair to use moodle.org as a platform to air personal greivances and make vague accusations against Moodle Partners in general.

Actually, Chris, it seems that none of the Partners have any idea who you are talking about, perhaps you can contact me with a name.
