At our school, we are fans of the 'collapsed topics' course format. We appreciate the clear section indicators and the ability to highlight sections for students. Recently, we upgraded to Moodle 4.5 (now: 4.5.6 build 20250811) and are using version 405.1.2 of collapsed topics (released July 6th 2025). There are subsections, but these are not collapsible. When working with a section that has access restrictions, the section becomes invisible to students. We would like the access restrictions (e.g., "not available unless...") to be visible to students, just as they are for teachers. Would it be possible to program this?
Dear M Verschoren,
I've fixed the restriction issue in https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=470979 - but non-collapsible subsections are different ball game in terms of how CT works and will require a lot more thought / effort.
Kind regards,
Gareth
