Jira Cloud migration and user management changes

You may remember that we announced the transition of Moodle’s Tracker to JiraCloud last week which will be happening in a couple of weeks time. 

As part of this transition, we will be introducing a limit to how long we keep user accounts active within the Moodle Tracker on Jira Cloud. 

If you regularly use Tracker your account will stay active and this change will have no impact on you. 

However, moving forward, if you don’t interact with our system for three years then your account will be suspended and eventually removed.

You can always sign back up after a long break to gain access to Tracker again, but if your old account has been removed then it is not possible to restore it.

This change will help us better manage our Tracker solution and further support Moodle’s commitment to honouring data privacy regulation, which advocates for institutions to keep their user’s information for the shortest time necessary.
