Here's some arguments I wrote about how the English language teaching publishing sector is in need of reform. It may well resonate with people who use commercial publisher coursebooks in other sectors too - I'd love to know if my sector's unique or if there are parallels in others.

P.S. Obviously, I think Open Education & OER's are probably the most likely avenue to push for reform, i.e. commercial publishers would have to find ingenious ways to compete with all the benefits & flexibility of OERs.
