How do the participants reach the teachers or administrators on Moodle Academy? Overtime I am in many courses but can't see active follow-up discussions. Then I thought the course Get involved in Moodle Academy to be the general meeting point. But my enquiry there in the General discussion forum, dated 7 Febrauary 2025, remain unanswered. Could a manager of that site give me the necessary pointers?
The specific reason why I wanted to reach is the webinar 'Designing for mobile and offline environments' is this. I couldn't find a place to ask questions and (grudgingly) went to YouTube, Designing for mobile and offline environments | Moodle Academy, and raised the question: 31:25 Who was the Moodle Database specialist mentioned there? The odd thing is when I'm logged in to Google, I see my comment - but not when I'm not logged in. Therefore I assume that you don't see the comment either.
Anyway I found the answer myself. See '5 Innovative Use Cases of the Database Activity in Moodle (MoodleMoot US 2020 presentation)'.
Then the presenter mentioned some resources that are GoogleDocs. Found them too (can't remember how): Re: Off-the-grid Moodle sites which are capable of syncing with the mother-site?
Right now, I am looking for the mbz of the sample course presented there (starting at 13:00). How can I send the message to the presenter? Or is it linked anywhere?
Hello Visvanath. The discussion forums in each of the courses are not actively monitored - we like to encourage people to come over here and post. However I will respond to your post on Academy. I asked the guest presenter who replied that the course belongs to UNESCO so the backup is not available online, but anyone is free to create an create an account on UIL's Learning Hub and search the Catalogue for Global: GEC-GAL Digital Competencies for Literacy Educators if they want to view the course.
Hi Mary
Thanks for immediate response - here and the Moodle Academy forum! In fact, the specific case was no so important. Two out of the three enquiries I've answered myself. You answered the third one in negation. But that one is a misunderstanding, I'm afraid. I was looking for the course template, that was shown in the second quarter of the presentation, not a full course. It demonstrated the use of the onetopic format, Font Awesome and some CSS. Just for a slow look, I will done my content from scratch anyway. But don't trouble the presenter, I can recreate them in very short time, when needed.

Still I made it a point to enroll for a course on UIL's Learning Hub.
The course Digital Competencies for Literacy Educators is somehow not open for self-enrollment. Applied for that.
The general, more important, question was whether the Moodle Academy courses are actively monitored, guided. I was surprised that the answer was No. In our community courses we accompany them a long time.. not only it gives the participants time to really understand but also all sorts of collaborations outside the course itself happen. But again, we have a local, limited crowd, you have global, unlimited crowd. Thus, understandable.
