Automatic Backups Messed my Moodle Server

Automatic Backups Messed my Moodle Server

Hi Moodlers,

I did set up automatic backups to run every day at exactly midnight. I backed up everything, including the course logs. I directed the backups to  /opts/backups folder where I intended to rsync(not done yet) with my local machine. Come early morning, the site can't be reached. I try to ssh to the server, but it keeps timing out. I had about 100 courses and 22k users. The server is Ubuntu 20.04, and moodle 4.4.

Kindly help.

At a guess, you have filled the disk and run out of space. Try pinging it to see it is still online.
You may need to use hosting console or rescue mode to free up space. Was everything backed up to the one machine?
