There are some very good "free" themes. The quotes are because although most are both gratis and libre there is at least one with a gratis downloadable version that delivers excellent features but with additional features available at a modest cost. And it is developed by absolute experts. When I wanted something that looked a little nicer than Boost I selected Academi, but my needs were very modest.
