Embedded H5P content is not appearing (just a white box)

I'm on Moodle 4.3.3.  

I have been able to add new H5P content to the Content Bank, and I have also been able to add it directly as "new activity or resource" on my courses, but when I try to embed it in the text of a lesson, it just appears as a white rectangle.

I'm at my wit's end.  What could be wrong?  Thank you.

Hi Richard,

Unfortunately you do not describe exactly how you are trying to embed an H5P content in a lesson. Which text editor are you using? Have you enabled its H5P filter?

On your screenshot the H5P entitled Maths test has not been created with the Moodle core h5p activity (it should be a blue icon and it's showing a black icon).

In my current setting I have no problem inserting an H5P content inside a Lesson activity.

Moodle 4.4.1 (latest stable version available). Using TinyMCE text editor.

Hi! I had the same problem as you and it solved after i tried this:

  1. Install Interactive Content – H5P plugin and then make sure it's enabled.
  2. Go to Site administration > Plugins > Filters > Display H5P.  Add the URLs from which you want to allow embedding H5P content, using [id] as a placeholder for the content ID. For example: https://yourdomain.h5p.com/content/1292464542501470339
  3. Embed the link of the H5P content in Text and Media Area Configure H5P Content > Insert your URL
