Moodle notifications page not loading after a successful quiz related plugin install

I installed the marks per section plugin from the Moodle plugins directory. Everything went fine and I was able to install the plugin, but once the plugin was installed, instead of being resirected to the notifications page, I kept getting redirected to the following page:

All attempts to save changes were in vain as I kept getting redirected to this page again and again. What should I do to save changes to this page and load the notifications page as usual. I am able to navigate though the site as usual, but opening the notifications page through site administration forces this page to load everytime.

Current moodle version: 4.1

Unfortunately no. I could not find any helpful resource. But as of now this is not interfering with any other moodle activities so I have taken my mind off of it.
I hope you find a solution to this.

What you could try is to move the directory of the offending plug-in away, out of the Moodle code tree, and revisit the notifications page. If you go to the plugins page it might show as "Not in the disk".

But in your case, I don't think a quiz plug-in would interfere with Moodle authentication. The errors you get are from different authentications plug-ins in the core. There must have been something more than a new plug-in, Marks_per_section, being added.
