I read the documentation attendance and auto attendance. I have it set up to semi-automatic, however when I add the session for the week (I don't want to add multiple sessions as I would have to probably put the main under general and try and add each session to each week) I had a student go in and try and check into the course. I was not logged into my teacher interface; they got an email permission error. So, am I misunderstanding how this works? I plan to try and do this tomorrow, if possible, so
1. what is the quickest way to add multiple sessions without going to each week and adding 1? If I add multiple after going to the week number and adding attendance as an activity the whole thing will show up in week 4 in this case. I kind of do not want that. I want each week to be a separate check in.
And now that I checked the semi-automatic option in my admin interface, how then can I have the student mark themselves as present if I'm not logged into the interface. Can I have it send an auto email? Or so I need to be logged into my teacher interface, or have one of the other instructors who are in the class be logged into theirs? I did read the docs, but the process is not very clear to me yet. I will get it; it just takes me a while sometimes to grasp a function.
Btw my students are visually impaired, well some of them are, and so the QR code might not work well for them even though I have the rotation set to me think 2 minutes to give them time to scan with their phones. Is there another way they can mark themselves as present and accounted for? I want to make sure they are not having any issues due to accessibility.
I am taking attendance via a google docs spreadsheet as a back up btw. So that works fine. I'd rather have a backup, always always always.
