Hello,
I've not used the Eguru theme, however in standard Moodle you can add a course search box to the site home page in the Site home settings. Maybe you can try this on your site?

Good to hear that you managed to add the course search box to your site home. Sorry I can't help with the features illustrated in your screenshot as they are not part of standard Moodle.
