May be Zoom wasn't the problem, people are taking about delays in logging in. https://www.schools.nyc.gov/learning/digital-learning says, "The DOE has created student accounts for every single New York City public school student. The account gives your child access to Google Classroom and Microsoft Office 365." Possibly the bottleneck was in the authentication before video conference or a LMS was started, if you call MS Teams and Google Classroom LMSes.
