The resent update of moodle quiz is very problematic. It is very hard to check witch categories my quiz is pulling questions from. Also adding them requires some extra clicks. Terrible user experience
Yes, recently when trying to use a large (2809 questions) category, after paging through a few pages, the question selection modal bugged out and closed. Completely unusable. I'll probably make a tracker issue about this particular problem.
