Stating with H5P- need clarification

I am using Moodle 4.2. I have few courses for MBA students, which are in format of book/quiz/video Moodle. Primarily it is text based. Now I want to bring some interactivity using H5P.


Before I start this mammoth exercise, request you to clarify:

1. Has anyone made best use of H5P in longer academic courses? I know all H5P activities but where can I see best practices ? actually implemented?..how it looks like... Anyone...

2. Which H5P do I use? Blue or Black ?

3. I want compatibility to be ensured for years with Moodle. I hope, with newer versions, it will work? For example, few days back timeline was working in mobile app but not on desktop..

4. Is there anything other than H5P in LMS world, which does similar job? Because it is mammoth exercise for me, I want to be sure that, it is best way..

Please assist.

Hi Nitesh,

  1. For examples of uses of H5P itself, you could try The H5P OER HUB. For uses of H5P within Moodle, some forum members may provide examples. You can browse my own Moodle site which features an English for Art History course entirely made of H5P contents.
  2. Which H5P do I use? Blue or Black? See this discussion: Should you use the H5P plugin, or H5P core functionality in Moodle?
  3. "I want compatibility to be ensured for years with Moodle..." No-one will guarantee that.
  4. "Is there anything other than H5P in LMS world?" It's up to you to find out; it's not up to us to do your homework.😉

Wow.. Your https://www.rezeau.org/moodle/ is only place where, I could find H5P up and running. And good look of how everything looks like. Thanks.
I also wanted to check, how many of these H5P activities are doing good in mobile app of moodle. But I think, you have not enabled guest access for mobile app.

Anyway, thanks for your responses for point 1 to 4.

It's not currently possible to access the Moodle Mobile App as guest, you need a login. You can log in as student01, password Student01!

Strangely it will say something like "You're not enrolled in any courses yet". Click on BROWSE ALL COURSES then Search for "art history" and ... there you are.
