difference between "Workplace course certificate" and "Custom certificate"?

Hey guys,

I'm struggling to understand difference between mod "Workplace course certificate" and mod "Custom certificate"?

Also, in mod "Custom certificate", is time spent in course the only criteria to receive a certificate?

They are two separate plugins that do mostly the same thing.  Custom certificate has been around sometime - Workplace certificate came over from the Moodle Workplace project.
In custom certificate, there is all kinds of ways you can earn - use restrictions and completion settings to do that.
