Some features from my testing :
- person who set up conference can control who can speak - mute users and also boot users out of a call.
- all conference calls are publicly listed on the skype web site and anyone can join.
- there is a web based pop up that opens up to allow conference participants to see who else is in a call, and to tell them if they've been muted and allow them to request the mike when they are muted. The same pop is also used by the conference creator to control who can speak.
- you can use a url of something like skype:+99001110001605998 to
allow users to join a call but this doesn't open up the pop up that you
get if you join a call through the skype web site - it just connects
you through skype.
- seems to work pretty well on skype 2.0 (and maybe lower) despite it saying on the web site that skype 2.5 is needed.
