I would like to point the attention again to, in my view, a major bug in Global Search that has been reported by me almost 3 years ago.

The problem is that partial search doesn't work in Global Search. Everyone using searching expects partial search to work.

Global Search was turned off by many people in version 3.11 for this reason. I noticed it being turned on again after an update to Moodle 4.2.2. And I understand Moodle is doing this. It helps by searching in course content. But... as long as partial searches don't work in Global Search, why turn it on? It confuses the user a lot by not finding what they are looking for. They often conclude their courses no longer exist because they don't turn up in search results.
