I have published a new plugin to the Moodle Plugin Database: https://moodle.org/plugins/mod_sortvoting
The idea of this plugin was because we needed a system to choose a subject for some optional meetings in our team. Some of us wouldn't attend the meeting if some subject was selected. The traditional voting system only lets you vote for your favorite option and the one that has most votes wins, even if some people don't like it.
This plugin solves that problem allowing the users to submit the vote sorting the options with their preference and then calculating the average position to get the "most liked"/"least disliked" option (The description with examples can be found in the plugin description).
