I think you make a great point. The lack of consistency is one of my biggest complaints as an instructor. Every time I try a new activity or resource, there are major differences, some of which are necessitated by the differences in types of activities, and others that seem arbitrary and unneccessary. I also think that the dearth of assessment types outside of Assignments is extremely unfortunate. I wish the assessment methods was more robust across all activity types.
