Recent changes log links on the Download pages bring up a 404

The "Recent changes log" links such as

http://git.moodle.org/gw?p=moodle.git;a=log;h=refs/heads/MOODLE_400_STABLE;opt=--no-merges

found on

https://download.moodle.org/releases/latest/

leads me to

Likewise if I try viewing the Recent changes log on the Moodle 3.11.10+  download page:

https://download.moodle.org/releases/supported/

Could these links be amended - I've always found them useful.

Thanks.

PS. Also the "Release notes" pages for the latest stables lead to old documentation pages which are blank now:

It seems that the Download page code should be improved to automatically apply the latest dev doc links now, such as:

for the two cases described. I think the problems goes back 2-3 minor releases.

I hope these changes can be made soon.

Hi,

The "Recent changes log" links are ok (now) ; certainly a temporary problem.

Updating the download page(s) with correct links for the release notes pages would be helpful.

Well, these links continue not to work (for me?).

The Recent changes log link for the latest Moodle 4.0.4+ produces a 404 error page.

The release notes page for Moodle 4.0.4 stable is an empty mediawiki page of the old style.

Hi Przemek,

the links from downloads to the dev docs should be already fixed, pointing to the new counterparts @ https://moodledev.io (release notes, server requirements, and a few more). I think that we have fixed all them.

About the problem with the links to git (recent changes), I've commented about it internally, because it seems to be something random, causing the utility to return those 404s (right now they are working for me).

Thanks, Eloy,
Great to see the https://moodledev.io links working.
Indeed, the git links are erratic - right now neither the 3.11.10+ nor the 4.0.4+ recent changes are working for me. A couple of days ago I was lucky to open the page for Moodle 4.0.4+, but not for Moodle 3.11.10+ , and on yet another day I experienced precisely the opposite. Strange..
I only hope this can be tamed one day.
Thanks again and kind regards.

Just as a follow-up, should anyone land here.. What I end up using and then tweaking in order to monitor the latest new fixes and features in the Moodle weekly code is this:

1) Visit Moodle Downloads > Latest release page:
https://download.moodle.org/releases/latest/

2) Click on the "Fixed issues" link for the latest stable. At the moment this is
http://tracker.moodle.org/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa?reset=true&jqlQuery=project+=+MDL+AND+fixVersion+=+%224.1.2%22+AND+status+=+Closed+ORDER+BY+priority+DESC&mode=hide

3) After the search loads, adjust the query from, in this case:

project = MDL AND fixVersion = "4.1.2" AND status = Closed ORDER BY priority DESC

to

project = MDL AND fixVersion = "4.1.3" AND status = Closed ORDER BY updatedDate DESC

This way I obtain the list of the latest fixes for the yet unreleased Moodle 4.1.3 , with the most recent updated items at the top.

Very easy to also then check for the latest changes for other / older supported versions, e.g.

project = MDL AND fixVersion = "4.0.8" AND status = Closed ORDER BY updatedDate DESC

project = MDL AND fixVersion = "3.11.14" AND status = Closed ORDER BY updatedDate DESC

HTH.
