HTML Block - Permissions for custom manager role

Hello block experts,

I have added a HTML block with url links to reports that are located in our Site Admin>Reports for easy access.

I would like to allow our custom, manager role access to these reports.

I thought I correctly added the permissions, but somehow the two users do not have access to the HMTL block.

When I select Assign roles in Block, the role is displayed as expected, but the Users with role = 0

When I select the role, the Assign Role is displayed with the two users with the role, but somehow not in the block. How do I correct this?

Kind Regards,

Shirley

I am giving myself a bump here, as I believe my issue is the Grader role does not have permissions to the Site Admin>Reports area. From further reading it appears that Site Admin is all or none. That permissions cannot be set-up for just the Reports area. Is that correct?
Kind Regards,
Shirley

The role needs to have the permission to "View the site administration tree (but not all the pages in it)" moodle/site:configview in order to see the Site admin menu and use parts of it.

Then also needs to have permission to view the specific report there too, most of which have explicit permissions, e.g. report/security:view controls the Security checks report. Take a look at the Manager role in Edit mode and filter by "report" to see the ones that you need, which will depend on the particular reports (or logs) you want to share.

thank you - this has been vexing.

Management would like REPORTS and using this plug-in data would be "easier" than trying to create SQL reports to provide the same data. Not to mention I do not have the SQL skills to do that!

Thank you, as always very appreciative!
