From my point of view is an error that H5P in content bank are not in gradebook. So means that we need hvp module in a hidden section.

In FAQ H5P you have to add new rows:

  • Grades in gradebook? Core = no, mod_hvp = yes.
  • Save last/best attempt? Core = no, mod_hvp = yes.
  • Record as a log? Core = no, mod_hvp = yes.
  • Completation? Core =no, mod_hvp = yes.

That is not true! What makes you think so?

How can I ensure that the grade from the H5P content is stored in the gradebook?
You need to use an H5P activity rather than embedding the H5P content in a different activity.

If I wanted to check if my students had done (well) or not some H5P (for example, to check the comprehension of the materials), I can't check if H5P is in the content bank.

Oops! It's true. I was wrong.
I confused hvp and h5pactivity.
h5pactivity can be only in the content bank, but also as a usual activity as hvp (with grades in gradebook, logs, completation...).
Sorry.
