We have an instructor who is marking PDFs using a 7 point scale. Students are able to resubmit as often as needed to get the maximum on the scale. When the instructor changes the grade, the PDF display goes blank and will not show any PDF submitted by the student.

Instructor adjusts the grade and the screen changes to this:
The Assignment submission list looks like this
We have tried resubmitting the pdf
We have tried updating the grade in the Assignment Submission list
then updating the grade
that generates 
and in the Grade Book it looks like this

There is no change in the Assignment feedback screen or the Assignment submission list, but the value added directly to the Grade Book shows up in the student's view of the grade book.
Scale for this example looks like this, but other less complex scales are also generating the same problem.
