Only IM push notifications on the app icon

We have recently got the Premium deal for push notifications, and it works pretty well. Except, we only get IM messages notifications indication on the Moodle App icon.  Nothing from forum posts, etc.

The popup screen notifications works well for forum posts, assignments and other tools, but they make no indications on the app icon.

Image to show what I mean with "indications on the app icon"...

Hi Peter,

Could you double-check if the user sees those notifications (forum posts, assignments, ..) on the Moodle App too? (It is the bell icon) Does the user see them pending? Or read?

Hi Isabel, the notifications works as expected in all other ways, it's just the "numbered badges" on the icon that only works for IM.

I use an iPhone.

Ah, ok. 

When the app is running there are no problems, all notifications are indicated correctly. My whole problem is that when the app is closed, there are no notifications on the Moodle app icon.  When the app is started, the notifications on the icon is activated.

What are the notifications shown on the notifications tab (tap on the bell icon) ? Are there notifications for forum posts, assignments, ..?

Hello all of you,

I have the same problem, however, it seems to be an intentional problem, which gives no sense. Why should you not recieve notifications, when app is passively running? and not only when opened?

I hope someone will change that, so users can decide for themself. Because it simply doesn't give sense if I understand the documentation correctly.

Kenneth Hansen, I can only agree. Expected behaviour from using other apps is that the bricks works in the background (when set to show).
To us the Android bricks work in the background, but not in iOS!
