Web conferencing plugins (including BigBlueButton)

Have you tried to verify your email is working with Moodle in general, with something like eMail Test (https://moodle.org/plugins/local_mailtest)? I haven't used the update email notification component of BBB, but we use the recording notification option and it works for us.
