Can't get the themes to show up

Hi - this is my first post here. 

Just started working with moodle on the weekend.  Installation was easy and I was up and running in a few hours. 

Problem is I can't get the themes to work - or should I say I can only get the formal white to work.  All the others show up as white. 

Even in the formal white there are no tabs or boxes.  (just white in the body)

Some of the themes worked for a sign on - then they turned white - yes the wood turned white?

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Bill

I haven't played with themes so unlikely I can help but to make it easier for someone who can can you post a bit more info such as exactly what version of Moodle (if it's the development version may just be because of some code changes) and what operating system.

Hope someone can help you out soon.

I am hosting on Go Daddy - linux hosting.

I downloaded the stable 1.5.3 version of Moodle.

Here is my config file:

$CFG->wwwroot = 'http://www.adaptiveinformation.com/lms';

$CFG->dirroot = '/home/content/s/a/f/safeone/html/lms';

$CFG->dataroot = '/home/content/s/a/f/safeone/html/moodledata';

$CFG->admin = 'admin';
