Content scripting

Hi everyone! I am relatively new to using moodle, but have worked with different systems for learning and content management in the past. When developing new online courses, I was used to writing a script for the content in a separate word-file with specific templates. Basically a  fill-out form that made it a lot easier to review the text and content your e-learning module before you start uploading it into the learning platform. Something like the following:

Format: Multiple Choice Question
Question title (max 30 characters):
How are you doing today?
Question information (max 200 characters):
Click the word below that best describes how you're feeling today.

Option 1: Great!
Option 2:
Medium
Option 3:
Terrible
Option 4:
Other

Correct answer(s): 1, 2, 3, 4.
Feedback correct:
Thanks for sharing that with us!

I was wondering if something like this already exists for the different H5P interactive activities that can be used in Moodle. It would make it a lot easier for me to write out my content in full, have others review it with comments/track changes, and then even potentially delegate the actual input-work to someone else. Any help is greatly appreciated!

We use Moodle 3.9 at the moment.

Hi Yvonne,
what you describe is the use of a storyboard. I created a storyboard for H5P activities that I use as you describe: a word file that goes through different reviews and then it's used by me or by other one to create the content. Why doesn't this procedure work for H5Ps in your case?

Hi Beatriz,
Thanks for your response! I think what you're describing is exactly what I'm looking for. Did you create your storyboard templates from scratch? I was hoping I could find resources online for this, so as to save time.

Hi Yvonne,
You can see the storyboard I used to create an H5P interactive book. The content is in Spanish but the instructions are in English. I did it on purpose to create a storyboard that can be used efficiently by non-Spanish speaking developers, to test if it's clear enough. But I have just tested it only with me 😊.
Anyway, the basics are the columns where you indicate the type of content, the texts, any further instructions, and any assets. I hope it helps, it's super basic and for sure it can be improved, so if you have any ideas, I'd be glad to read about them 🙂.
Regards,
Beatriz
