Thank you so much to both of you (and whoever else) for inventing the whole thing in the first place and providing such a quick, kind and helpful support! This is so valuable as more and more newbies like me are stretching out their hands toward this great tool.
Maybe there is some undetected issue with version 5.43. I have now resorted to using the recommended Maxima version 5.41.0 and compiling it from source. This way the health check now runs to success and the handling of the question variables is without error messages. I'm still working on fixing non-appearing graphs and the system being very slow. But I'm also just halfway through the new troubleshooting page.
