I am trying to create a new keyboard layout for Macs to distribute to my students and I don't have a Mac myself. I have had my mother (who has a Mac) trying it out for me but we have had problems and it is hard for me to troubleshoot it without seeing what is going on. Does anyone know if there is some sort of software like Vskype that allows a Mac user to share their desktop (with a Windows user) remotely like Vskype allows one to share one's desktop with other Vskype users?
You'll have to use one of the many flavors of VNC. I use tight vnc on PCs for remote access and control. They have a Unix version no mention of a Mac native.
A google search of "vnc +macintosh" brings up a bunch.
p.s. read about VNC on one of the general sites http://www.realvnc.com/ and be careful.
For OS X, we use OSXvnc for the server and Chicken of the VNC for the client.

Yes, you definitely need to be careful.
