HTML Source hard to amend

When I submit an html text and I want to amend the source it's quite difficult to hit the button that is almost hidden in the upper right corner of the page. 

When this is done, after amending what is necessary, i can find no way of hitting the same buton to close the whole thing before validating.

Might be a screen problem ? Anybody has a clue ?

Sorry, Jean-Marie, but that's not a screenshot, that's a cut-and-paste.

A screenshot is an *image* of your screen (eg like http://freshmeat.net/screenshots/19222/), so we can see the button problem you were talking about.

Ah, OK, I see now.

The French translation has longer text labels, which pushes the "View Source" button off the page.

I've moved the "View Source" button up on the top bar so that won't happen in future - it will be in 1.0.8.

In the meantime, one way to edit the source directly is to switch off the HTML editor before editing the resource (you can do this in your user profile)

That's what so nice about Moodle, the fact that you can integrate almost anything.
I've incorporated a small Chat running on PHP with Mysql, called "PHPmychat" http://www.phpdevshed.com/www-phpmychat/
written by Michael Gbadebo in Majorca.
We had a few problems with it initially and took out the buffering. Our modified version should be the one that is in current distribution, but if it isn't I can let anyone have our original archive.
For Moodle we are still running the Chat in its own table in another db, but I'm sure someone could integrate.

Hi, Ed.

What you've done is a good hack (implementing as a resource). Unfortunately it's not integrated into Moodle as much as I'd like, so that it appears as another activity option, with all the logging, user pictures, scalability etc

There has been some previous discussion on a real chat module here, where you can see the fairly extensive criteria I've set for it: http://moodle.com/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=143

Personally I'm a bit too busy at the moment to work on it now so I'm hoping someone else will step up to the job. If not, I will eventually get to it myself.

Ah.. I'd just spent a while perusing the forums but missed this.
Seems the one I am using is a completley different MyChat to the other mentioned.
Yes its just a hack for now as I'm a designer rather than a programmer. So I'll watch this space with interest.
I've just come back from our partner meeting in Poland and Chat was the first thing on the wish list.

The Agroland project is very new and runs over two years. So new that even the information web site is not due to be delivered until April 2003. I'll post a link when something becomes available.
