Yes I checked the same output on the core theme
We have same problem with the Attendance pluggin after we upgrade Moodle from 3.5 to 3.7 and move to new thema Classic.
Info about our Moodle:
- Moodle 3.7.1,
- pluggin Attendance is 3.7.1
- theme Classic.
In attachment are pictures from chrome and mozzila browsers.

Please see a suggested fix for this in: https://github.com/danmarsden/moodle-mod_attendance/issues/389 - if it works for you make sure you add a comment to the github issue to let me know if it has solved it for you.
We inserted suggested fix and it is much better now.

Just last row need little correction.
Looks like in marked row of CSS in the code contrast need to be change.
