CSS does not work on Elegance

Hi.

I tried to put CSS in the Elegance theme, but no changes appear.

Default options work, but CSS does not.

I'm working on moodle 3.6.3

Can you give me an example of the CSS you are trying to add but not working?

Also where are you adding this CSS?

Hi.

I've tried everything in small details of style, from colors to disappearing objects. For example,
#page-footer {
display: none;
}
I tried several times and it doesn't respond.

I put it in Appearance>Themes>Elegance, in the box "Custom CSS"
