Atto Editor not showing its Toolbar in wiki

Hola from Paraguay, i just installed Moodle 3.6.3 on a localhost using XAMPP.

I am rather new to Moodle: I got some exposure on Moodle 2.6 some time ago.

I am very interested to learn using Wiki in general and in Moodle in particular. I tried to configure a wiki selecting the HTML editor. But what i got is the editing space with just a gray area on the top. No toolbar at all.

I tried to find a solution reading in the documentation and the forum. I found this interesting post https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=352321  and follow the suggestions (see the details on how i did it in the annex file):

  • i set Atto as my default editor
  • I configured the atto toolbar
  • I set atto as my-as-user preferred editor
  • i clean the cache.

Still the toolbar does not show up. Please suggest how i can solve this issue.

Best wishes from Asuncion. Giorgio

Hola,  i continue my searches....and found this link https://mahakala.lesc.uec.ac.jp/mahoodle/moodle/docs/33/ja/Main_Page/Managing_a_Moodle_course/Editing_text/Text_editor_FAQ.html

In particular this : "How can I have the Atto toolbar always expanded?"

In Site administration>Plugins>Text editors>Atto HTML editor>Atto toolbar settings, scroll to the Toolbar config box and remove the setting 『collapse = collapse』. Save the changes.

I did not remove (how to remove anyway?) the collapse: i changed the setting i had (1) to 5 (which is the defualt). (see the annex i attached).

And magically the toolbar appeared on the editor.

Best wishes from Asuncion.
