All my Taskchains are set so that students get the score from the attempt with the highest score on a Chain.
Question 1: The first question might seem a little out in left field. However, can a student go back into an abandoned attempt and improve the scores there which do not change in the Moodle grade book because of the exercise has been abandoned?
Question 2: I believe that my students pop in and out of tasks in a chain, improving scores on the individual tasks. However, I believe they have trouble when they do this on the last task and the chain gets abandoned when they exit the task. Is anyone else noticing an issue with the last task?
Question 3: I tried to launch some discussion around filters in an earlier thread. I would love to know what teachers are finding to be their "best practices." I will share right away. I use few filters as I often have 5 to 9 fairly demanding tasks in a chain. So I have been permitting students to go in and out of individual tasks which allows them to improve scores on an individual task in a chain.
Question 4: This next question may seem a little Mickey Mouse. With Moodle questions, the students can enter in an see what their answers were and what the right answer(s) are. However, no answers get saved in a TaskChain so students only get feedback while doing the exercise. They can't go back and review their answers comparing them to right answers upon completion. Right?
Question 5: I am not sure I, as the teacher who also has Moodle Admin status, can view student attempts of Taskchains. I believe there is only a log of having completed (or not) a Taskchain and the final score(s). I can't view the specifics of their work. Again, have I missed anything here?
Thanks again Gordon (and anyone else) providing insight.
