I've been having a problem with a Moodle platform that I administrate:
We are using a number of user profile fields. Now I have been tasked with making it possible for the users to find each other by their field of expertise (which is one of the UPFs).
The idea is that they can network and find collaboration partners this way. But that makes is necessary to display a list of participants for a course (or a list of all moodle users) and allow them to search for certain fields of expertise, certain keywords others might have entered in their user profile field "field of expertise".
I'm open to any solution that uses either a list of all Moodle users or course participants - as long as I can allow them to search for certain values entered in a user profile field.
