Enforce same course page theme throughout the site

I am using Moodle 3.3.3 and the theme used is Clean.


Till last semester, course pages had proper alignment and blocks like SEARCH FORUMS, UPCOMING EVENTS, RECENT ACTIVITY, LATEST ANNOUNCEMENTS appeared on the right side of the weeks in a course. And on the left side NAVIGATION blocks etc.


But from this semester Right side blocks have disappeared, only the left side blocks appear and the weeks. I have to manually put the right side blocks on each course page. Kindly help me to enforce the above view (in the previous paragraph) on all course pages, throughout the site.


I have tried everything but it's of no use.


Screenshot is attached of one of the current semester course where right side blocks have disappeared.

Hi,

Can you tell me if your Moodle site has been updated to Moodle 3.4 or 3.5 since your last semester?

Even if it had I am sure that you would have been informed of such a transition as it may well have changed the layout of your pages. I'm going to check out and see what changes have gone on in the past since 3.3+

Many thanks for your reply.

I have not updated Moodle in this semester. Current version is Moodle 3.3.3+ (Build: 20171228).

One of the courses has got misaligned. Image attached.

Hi,

The misalignment issue in my last comment of course MNG 608 has been resolved. The student responsible for editing the course page added content outside the week thereby disturbing the layout of the whole course page.


But my first doubt of right side blocks not visible on course page is still not resolved. Kindly help.

Hello,

I found the solution for my problem. We upgraded the Moodle from 2.8 to 3.3 last semester but used the config.php of the old moodle version. Therefore the layout of the new Moodle version got disturbed. Adding the parameter '$CFG->defaultblocks_override' in config.php following the below link solved the issue.
