Hideto
Yes, Hideto, this past year over a hundred generous people gave donations from as little as one dollar to more than a thousand dollars to support Moodle.org community work. Although I don't have the exact figures totalled, the 2005 sum will be over $10,000.
While that may not seem much in the big world of IBMs, Microsofts, and even Linexs, that money goes a long, long way for Moodle. For example, these donations pay for the community server that hosts these forums, and seeds development of new modules and new releases. In the past, it probably even helped pay for Martin feeding his two little kids.

Please include a present for Moodle in your Christmas giving!
P.S. Rumour has it that Martin put one of these magnets on the bumper of his car. It says, "Powered by Moodle".
Oh those rumours! But seeing as the boss is away and we have access to his car ... not a good picture but you can see the orange magnet in the middle.

And much needed too - I'm hiring a new person in January to help us get 1.6 finished in time for the new school year in February.
Great to see the orange house team grow.
Cheers for that!
At this rate of growth you are going to need another house
Great to here of 1.6 for next school term. Good luck on the deadline.
Merry Xmas

Oops, sorry, I lost the spirit of Christmas for a moment.

Best wishes to all Moodle community!
But before making a donation, could PayPal add "Lebanon" in the "Select your country" list?
Lebanon is in the "Country of Citizenship" list but not the upper one.
Santa Paypal, plz fix it before the 24th night!
Season's Greetings from one of the earliest countries in the world to celebrate the Christmas day, Japan!
Thank you so much for the people who contributed to this Moodle campaign. There have been generous donations coming in from Japan, UK, Germany, and Iceland since this seasonal campaign started.
I'd like to remind everybody of the spirit of this Christmas season once again. It is the time to extend our love, sharing, and thanksgiving. How much did you appreciate the fact that you were able to use a wonderful LMS such as Moodle this year? How often did you think of those people who continuously make their best efforts and sacrifice their time for the Moodle development? How much did you "bother" the hands of those who kindly answer your "dumb" questions all the time? Have you found Scrooge in your image in the looking-glass? It's Christmas time after all.
So, give presents to Moodle on this Christmas day. We are the world; we are the people (in this Moodle community); we are the ones who make a brighter day for Moodle, so let's start giving!
Wish you all a very merry Chritmas and a happy new year!
