Hi, 


Is it possible for the push banner/pop up for a message to display who the message is from eg: “JohnDoe: Message” instead of just showing the message body text? Similar to how Facebook messenger works?

you are right, we should improve how notifications are sent and displayed in the app, I just created https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-60680 (please, watch the issue to get updates)
