Me again.
I can smell the crowd eagerly waiting for a solution to my problem.
Well, I played in the theme selector removing a theme attributed to mobile devices and it works on one Moodle site.
I did the exact opposite on another site (added a theme for mobile device).
So my problem is fixed with no rational explanation.
